N7JS Echolink

Using EchoLink - Copyright 2002 Synergenics, LLC

I have this set up mainly to connect with using my handheld or mobile as well as allow Echolink friends to crossband over to HF when appropriate. However, this system is open to the public to access Echolink. The coverage is the Ogden and surrounding areas out to approx. 15 miles. The frequency is simplex 145.310. PL TONE of 186.2. In order to use this system, you must possess a valid amateur radio license.  You must also have a speaker and mike on your computer or come in on the RF side.  You will need to download and install the EchoLink software below.  After you have installed it.......simply follow the setup instructions and enter your callsign.  Within a few hours - your callsign will be verified and you will have access. To connect find N7JS-L (NODE 39099) in the list and double click on it. You should soon get a confirmation from the link acknowledging your callsign or a confirmation tone. YOU MUST OPEN FIREWALL PORT 5198-5200 IN ORDER FOR THIS SYSTEM TO WORK IF YOU HAVE ONE. Press the space bar to transmit and press it again to listen.
If there is an EchoLink repeater in your local area, you can connect by pressing 39099. That is the node number of this link.
